Borland is Back at It Again, working on what I would say is one of the more anticipated efforts in quite some time -- the resurrection of C++Builder!
Typically silence has been the response when the community seeks answers to questions regarding C++Builder. We’ve seen that this silence has been sometimes met with customers fleeting to other tools and environments. The love for C++Builder is there, but it must be matched by the vendor that produced it otherwise people tend to leave.
Imagine your favorite sports team, NOT trying their very best to win games and seek a championship – and management seeming not to care one iota. Eventually the passion for that team goes else where -- to another team. Sadly this, for a long time, has been the case with C++Builder. A wonderful tool, with a great following, but a tool that has needed some attention and didn’t seem to get it… Until NOW!!!
Recently Borland had a “live” C++Builder Audio Chat featuring Borland’s Eli Boling (R&D), David I (Dev Rel), who served as host, John Kaster (Dev Rel), and Anders Ohlsson (Dev Rel).
I encourage you to listen to the archive of this audio chat in which they provided a status of the on going effort and an opportunity for them to answer real live questions from the community!
