Fredericksburg, VA., 7-31-2020: SimVentions is pleased to announce a 5-year, $55M contract award for Track Management Engineering Analysis and Support out of Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). Track Management is the identification, tracking, and characterization of attributes of sensor data which feed the combat or command and control system. It is a key component of warfare systems and relies on having highly accurate Position, Navigation, and Time (PNT) services. This effort will allow SimVentions to provide subject matter, systems engineering, software development, and test and evaluation expertise to NSWCDD V Department’s Combat Control Division (V30) to facilitate, plan, execute, and deliver Track Management products.
“SimVentions has been involved in the Track Management domain for many years, however, this is the first time that we will be providing this level of support as a prime contractor,” said SimVentions CEO, Larry Root. “Three things come to mind: First, we are grateful for the continued blessings of the Hand of Providence on our company and the opportunities that have been granted to us. We are honored that NSWCDD is willing to put their trust in us for this critical work. Second, one of SimVentions’ core values is Technical Excellence, and I am grateful for employees who are the best at what they do and that seek to drive excellence into all facets of their work. This win is a direct reflection of that commitment to excellence! Third, we’re proud of our amazing team and the expanded, positive impact, afforded by this contract win, that they are able to have in support of our warfighters – the ultimate success of our warfighters is truly our honor!”
Joe Caliri, SimVentions President, said, “This contract was originally competitively awarded to SimVentions back in May of 2019 and has been delayed due to several protests by the previous incumbent that have all been reviewed, denied, and dismissed by the GAO. It will be great to finally get started serving this customer and delivering the services required in support of our warfighters.”
